How would you like to have been a sports fan living in Boston Sunday?

Or have been a sports fan in Wisconsin Monday night?

Two days ago, the Red Sox and Patriots were playing highly significant games at the same time. Yesterday, the Brewers were in the National League Championship Series while the Packers were playing on Monday Night Football.

Think about how many cities never get one team in a game of significance, much less two.

But think about the four games themselves.

** The Red Sox win because a fly ball that looked like a game-tying home run ended up a few feet from the Green Monster at Fenway Park. The series with Houston is tied 1-1, but it doesn’t feel like it. Seems like this is the Astros series to lose.

** Meanwhile, just down the road, the Patriots beat the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs 43-40. Separated by almost two decades, Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes both lit up the scoreboard in the best game of the NFL season. That made for a nice double-header for the Boston sports fan.

** The Brewers shut out the Dodgers Monday night to take a 2-1 series lead and got out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the ninth inning with two strikeouts. Say it once and then say it again — every pitch seems special in the post-season.

** And then the state of Wisconsin sports fan got another moment just a few minutes later. A kicker who missed five field goals a week before (Mason Crosby) made a game winner as time ran out in a 33-30 win over San Francisco. Oh, and did you hear about what Aaron Rodgers did?
