Like you, I get all sorts of emails from people I don’t know or from companies I never signed up to hear from. No big deal — I know exactly where the delete button is and how to use it.

Every so often, I’ll pay attention for more than a split second. Eight things I didn’t know my iPhone could do … 11 foods you should avoid if you want to live to be 100A doctor reveals secrets to avoid going bald. (There are a few others, but let’s just both understand that you don’t want me going into any more details.)

But I may have to start avoiding these all together. This headline has gone too far: “6 Reasons Why You Should Avoid Daily Showers.”

To me, there is only one issue regarding the daily shower: Morning or evening. Not taking one is not up for discussion, or so I thought. (Since you are dying to know, I’m traditionally a morning guy. There are a number of reasons why, but mainly I need that aquatic wake-up call.)

I’m going to hit the lowlights of this email article for you — your body doesn’t need it because it’s naturally cleaner than you think … showers prevent the formation of “good bacteria” (that’s a thing?) … it dries out your skin … it’s bad for your hair … it’s bad for people with skin problems.

And then there is No. 1, and I know it was coming: Wasting water. “The average family of four uses about 400 gallons of water daily!”

Tell you what; I’ll go through the car wash a lot less and let’s say we call it even.
